The story of Safewood Designs began amidst a crisis - a series of tragic shootings at glass storefront systems that left people feeling vulnerable and frightened. As news reports streamed in, it became clear that immediate action was required to prevent such senseless acts of violence. That's when Safewood Designs rose to the occasion. With a fierce determination to make a difference, the founder was inspired to invent a storefront system that could create safer environments for businesses and individuals alike. Recognizing that traditional security measures were not enough, Safewood Designs embarked on a mission to develop innovative solutions that could protect against active shooter incidents.
Leveraging their expertise in custom millwork techniques, Safewood Designs created products that not only provided bullet-resistant protection but also maintained an inviting and welcoming aesthetic. Their wood bullet-resistant products were carefully crafted to blend seamlessly with any environment, ensuring that safety did not have to come at the expense of style. However, Safewood Designs did not rest on their laurels. They understood that collaboration was critical to achieving their goal, so they partnered with MidPoint to develop a comprehensive Active Shooter Prevention and Mitigation Program. As valued members of the Active Shooter Prevention Project, LLC, Safewood Designs and MidPoint Technology group combined their expertise and resources to provide a holistic solution for enhancing safety and security.

Bullet Resistant Doors
The bullet-resistant doors made of wood and the corresponding patented frame assemblies are engineered to thwart forced entry attempts and shield against invasion threats. They have been designed to capture and retain projectiles launched at them during an attack, thereby considerably reducing the chances of ricochet and minimizing potential collateral damage.

SafeShutter Bullet Resistant Whiteboard
The SafeShutter™ is a bullet-resistant whiteboard designed to block an attacker's line of sight and impede their progress when swung 180°. It can also be used as a defensive position during an emergency. In addition, it offers bullet-resistant protection over windows and doors.
Safeshutter Window
